car free day – may 2010

Occurs on the last sunday of the month. The road is closed for any combustion motor, except busway. Many people use this opportunity for riding bicyecle with family and friends, any kind of sports from running, badminton to dancing. You may see other interesting activities such as cooking, drawing to skateboard tournament too as well as street market which sale anything from food, sunglasses to children toys.

Such a nice event for street photography, just be aware of where you standing, you might be hit by bicyecle..

evening at clarke quay

Taking a short walk at clarke quay with family after having diner. As usual, the place is always nice for street street snapshots, full of happenings, restaurants, bars, people passing, and some nice attractions. From what I experienced, you can just stay in 1 corner for 1 hour to finish one 36 exp film . Bring more than 1 film or just shoot digital.. hehehehe. 

Here are some of the shots taken not only at clarke quay but also on the way back to hotel. They are not consider as street shots.. more on family shots type .

All taken with one roll of Kodak Tri-X, EI at 400, Leica M6, Leica Summicron 50/2. Developed in Ilford DD-X 1+4 for 8mins at 20C.
